“Humans often fail to see what is close to them and obvious to others.”
“Why do we focus on certain things at the expense of others? We will risk our lives to save a person from drowning, yet do not make a donation that could save dozens of children from starvation.”
Week two. After not loving my first book of the new year, I was so so SO happy to have The Rosie Project be my second.
Don Tillman is a widely respected professor of genetics, and has Asperger’s. Don Tillman doesn’t know he has Asberger’s. Don Tillman wants to find love. So Don designs an extensive questionnaire to find a suitable mate, and calls it “The Wife Project”. But then Don meets Rosie, and everything he’s ever known is turned upside down.
The Rosie Project is everything I love about a love story. It’s unconventional, refreshing, genuine, sweet, and endearing. Don and Rosie are two of the most fabulous characters I have come across in a long, long time.
I don’t want to say much more about the book other than go read it!!! It’ll make you laugh, and cry, and scratch your head, and wonder, and love.
